How recommendations and affiliate links work.

Programs and current link status

We intend to participate in these affiliate programs, subject to approval by the network and advertiser:

• Camping World via FlexOffers: the intended affiliate destination for RV equipment categories in our catalog.
• Renogy via Awin: the intended affiliate destination for energy-related selections assigned to Renogy in our catalog.

As of the date above, no affiliate tracking URLs are configured on this site. Naming these intended programs does not claim that our applications have been approved, that a retailer sponsors the planner, or that every product example is available from that retailer. We will update this page when our participation changes.

While a tracking URL is absent, "Check Price" opens an ordinary Google product search, sometimes including the intended retailer's name. Those search links are not affiliate links and do not earn us an affiliate commission. Product selections without an assigned affiliate retailer also use ordinary search links.

How to recognize a monetized button

Every monetized "Check Price" button is labeled "Affiliate link" and includes an explanation that we may earn a commission. That label appears only when a valid affiliate URL has been configured. A button labeled "Google search" is an ordinary search link, even if a retailer's name is shown beside it.

The results page also displays a commission notice before the checklist, and the footer contains a short disclosure across the site. This page provides further detail; it does not replace the notices next to monetized buttons. We do not add affiliate links to the guide articles.

Fixed rules, independent of commissions

Your recommendations are generated by fixed rules based on the five quiz answers: rig type, electrical service, camping style, travel party, and trip length. They are not generated by commission rates or paid placement. Retailers do not pay to move equipment higher in the checklist, and an affiliate link does not change the rule that selected an item.

The same five answers produce the same underlying equipment recommendations. Your "I have this" and "Checked" marks then affect the status of individual checklist items. Some recommendations ask you to confirm what is included or what fits before buying; optional upgrades are separated into Buy Later.

Products are examples of equipment categories. Inclusion is not a guarantee of fit or an assertion that the product was personally tested by the site operator. Our guides and planner provide research-based planning information. Confirm compatibility, ratings, instructions, and installation needs with your RV manual, manufacturer, or an appropriate service professional.

Reference prices, not checkout quotes

Prices and budget ranges shown in the planner and guides are reference snapshots from October 2026. Wording such as "was about," "roughly," or an estimated range is deliberate. These figures may differ from the amount shown at checkout and exclude tax and shipping.

Availability, promotions, product versions, and retailer prices can change. Confirm the current price and any applicable charges at the destination retailer before making a purchase. RV Kit Check does not sell these products, take payment for them, or handle orders, returns, or warranties.
