Information you choose to submit

Only when you voluntarily submit the RV gear update form do we send your name, email address, and current five quiz answers to our email signup table. Those answers cover rig type, electrical service, camping style, travel party, and trip length. The database also creates a record identifier and signup timestamp. We do not require an account or signup to see your checklist.

If you email support@rvkitcheck.com, we receive your email address and whatever information you include in the message. Please send only what is needed for your question.

How we use that information

Signup details are used to maintain the optional update list and send occasional RV gear notes, deals, or site updates. Submitted quiz answers provide context for relevant RV information. Signing up does not automatically email your checklist; use the copy or text download feature to keep it.

We use support messages to answer questions, investigate issues, and handle correction or deletion requests. We do not sell your name, email, quiz answers, or support messages, and we do not share them with retailers, affiliate networks, or other third parties for their own advertising or marketing.

Quiz answers and storage in your browser

The planner uses localStorage in your browser to remember quiz answers, "I have this" marks, "Checked" marks, and your light or dark theme preference. LocalStorage is device- and browser-specific; it is separate from a cookie and does not automatically synchronize across devices.

Your name and email are submitted only through the optional signup form. Separately, usage events described below record the five quiz choices when your results appear. Your owned and checked marks stay in your browser. Results URLs also contain the five quiz choices so a checklist can be reproduced and shared. Anyone you send that link to can see those choices, and the page URL is processed by the hosting service when you open it. A shared link does not contain your signup name, email, or checklist marks.

To remove saved quiz answers and checklist marks, use "Reset list" on your results page. This does not delete an email signup, stored usage events, or the theme preference. Clearing site data for rvkitcheck.com in your browser removes localStorage, including the theme preference and anonymous event identifier described below. Copies, downloads, and previously shared links remain wherever you have saved or sent them.

Planner usage events

We record three events in the existing Lovable Cloud database: when you answer the first quiz question, when your results appear, and when you click a "Check Price" button. A completion event includes the five quiz choices. A price-click event includes the product SKU and whether the link is an affiliate link. Each record also has an event name, time, record identifier, and a randomly generated browser identifier.

This identifier is stored in localStorage as "rvkit:session_id" and reused across visits until site data is cleared. It is not an account or your name or email. We use these records to understand how the planner is used and which equipment links are useful. We do not attach signup names or emails to event records, and events are sent even if you do not join the update list. The sample checklist is excluded from this event tracking.

Events are kept for site usage analysis until removed by the site operator. To request deletion of records associated with your browser identifier, contact support@rvkitcheck.com. An email address alone cannot identify anonymous event records; we may need the browser identifier to locate them. Clearing browser storage does not delete records already sent to the database.

Hosting, analytics, and service providers

The website runs on Lovable hosting, and the signup form uses the project's Supabase-backed database. These infrastructure providers process information to host the site, store submitted records, and operate the service. Our support email provider also processes messages sent to our inbox. This service-provider processing is different from selling a mailing list or giving your signup details to a retailer.

Lovable visitor analytics is enabled. It measures visits, page views, referring sources, device types, approximate countries, and visit duration. Hosting and diagnostic systems also process technical request information, such as IP addresses, browser information, requested URLs, and errors, to deliver and maintain the website. This technical processing can occur even if you do not sign up.

We use the traffic summaries to understand which pages are useful and identify site problems. We have not added a separate Google Analytics tag, advertising pixel, or session-replay tool to this site. For the providers' own notices, see Lovable's Privacy Policy and Supabase's Privacy Policy. Product links, cookies, and other websites

Our planner's saved state uses localStorage, rather than a custom quiz cookie. Hosting infrastructure may use service-related cookies or similar technology. This site currently has no configured affiliate tracking URLs. A "Check Price" button without an active affiliate URL opens an ordinary Google product search.

If an affiliate link is activated, its button will be labeled "Affiliate link." After you follow a product or search link, the destination retailer, search provider, or affiliate network may process your visit and use cookies or similar technology under its own privacy notice. We do not send your signup name, email, or saved checklist marks through product links. Our Disclosure page explains the intended affiliate programs.

You can manage cookies and stored site data in your browser settings. Restricting localStorage may prevent the planner from remembering your choices between visits.

Keeping, correcting, or deleting your data

We keep signup records to operate the optional update list, and you can ask us to remove your signup or stop updates at any time. Support messages are retained as needed to handle the conversation. Provider-controlled logs and backup copies follow the relevant provider's retention practices.

To request access, a correction, deletion, or removal from the update list, email support@rvkitcheck.com from the address you used to sign up. Tell us which request you want handled. We may ask for enough information to confirm that the request relates to your record. You do not need to create an account.

A deletion request concerns records submitted to us. Clearing your browser data handles locally saved checklist information. We cannot remove a copy or shared link from somebody else's device. We may retain information where required by law or needed to resolve a security or legal issue.
